The safety of vessels in Port waters is always the priority for Fiji Ports Corporation Limited (FPCL).

Therefore, the Port Regulator is reminding vessel owners, particularly small boat operators to always be on alert and to keep clear of the main navigational channel.

The call is being made by the Suva Harbour Master’s Office in its continuous quest to avoid any casualty within our waters.

“It is important for vessel owners especially small boat operators to keep well clear of a ship’s path and make sure they can see and be seen at all times,” Acting Chief Operating Officer and Suva Harbour Master, Captain Laisiasa Gonewai said.

“We are pleading with the general public to help us in keeping navigation in the channels and port waters safe for all vessels.”
