The Strategic Plan for the next five years is expected to be finalised soon after members of the Board, executive management, managers and department heads came together in June to map the way forward for Fiji Ports Corporation Limited.

FPCL’s workshops for the Strategic Plan 2018 – 2023 were held over two days at the Novotel Bay Hotel in Lami. Global provider of integrated professional services, Cardno Australia has been engaged as consultant for the development of this very important document.

 

The workshop on June 22-23 was to effectively discuss submissions received from various departments after the completion of the initial stages of planning which involved research, site visits, financial modeling etc.

Participants discussed their set of priorities and ways to focus their energy and resources, strengthen operations and to ensure the employees and other stakeholders are working together toward commons goals. It also aimed at establishing agreement around intended outcomes to asses and adjusts the organization’s direction in response to a changing environment.

The Strategic Plan 2018-2023 will be used to communicate with the organization the organizations goals, the actions needed to achieve those goals and all of the other critical elements developed during the planning exercise.
