The Board and Management of Fiji Ports Corporation Limited have congratulated Senior Port Pilot Captain Mosese Cirikisuva for winning the Pilot of the Year award at the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji Awards night held in September.
Captain Cirikisuva was amongst the eight winners from various categories announced on September 27 at the Awards Night held at the Fiji Maritime Academy to coincide with the World Maritime Day celebrations.
“We are proud of Captain Mosese’s achievement which speaks volume of his hard work and dedication over the years,” Acting Chief Operating Officer Captain Laisiasa Gonewai said on behalf of the management.
Captain Gonewai, who is also the Suva Harbour Master, has also thanked MSAF for such initiative putting into place such initiative to reward and recognise our local seafarers especially our Port Pilots who risk their valuable services in ensuring the safe bringing of foreign vessels to our shore.
Captain Cirikisuva holds a Class 1 Pilot license and Class 1 Master Foreign Going Certificate of Competency. He is based at the Port of Lautoka.
